Alumni Impact Video Challenge 2024

Australia Awards South Asia and Mongolia is pleased to present the ‘Alumni Impact’ Video Challenge, a competition for Australia Awards alumni. This competition invites individuals from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka to showcase the transformative impact of their Australia Awards experience through the art of video storytelling.

Theme: The theme for the competition is ‘Australia Awards Impact’. We challenge participants to creatively and authentically depict the impact their Australia Awards journey has had on their work, lives, communities, and the broader society.

Videos should fit one of the categories below.

  • Community Impact: Showcase the positive changes and contributions you have made within your community as a result of the knowledge and skills you gained through Australia Awards.
  • Personal Transformation: Share your personal narrative, highlighting the transformative impact of your Australia Awards experience on your skills, perspectives, and personal growth.
  • Professional Advancement: Illustrate how your Australia Awards experience has propelled your professional journey, showcasing the impact on your career and industry.

 

Submission Guidelines:

Duration: Videos should be around 2 minutes long and must not be more than 3 minutes in length.

Format: Submissions must be in a digital format (MP4, MOV, etc.) with a minimum resolution of 1080p and should be in landscape format.

Language: Submissions should be in English with subtitles for accessibility.

Original Content: Submissions must be original works created specifically for this competition.

 

 

Judging Criteria:

Entries will be judged based on the following criteria.

  • clarity in depicting the impact of Australia Awards experience consistent with the theme of ‘Australia Awards Impact’.
  • alignment with the categories of ‘Community Impact’, ‘Personal Transformation’, and ‘Professional Advancement’.
  • quality of storytelling, including capturing visual elements to highlight your overall message.
  • suitability for use in Australia Awards promotions.
  • overall emotional and inspirational impact.

 

Prizes: The winners will be eligible for prizes, including specialist training, expert assistance to make their video more professional, recognition and exposure across Australia Awards platforms.

How to submit: All entries must be uploaded to Vloggi and an email sent to alumni@australiaawardssouthasiamongolia.org with a brief description of your video, your name, country and contact details.
