Grants and professional development opportunities

Australia Awards offers grants and other professional development opportunities to scholars and alumni throughout the year.

In South Asia, Australia Awards grants and professional development opportunities are offered to suitably qualified scholars and alumni who are nationals of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Grants are usually offered to support scholar and alumni initiatives related to key development challenges in their home country and region. Professional development opportunities are designed to enhance recipients’ skills and knowledge to drive change and contribute to development in their home country.

All Australia Awards grant and professional development opportunities are supported by the Australian Government.
