Regional Alumni Workshop 2024: Apply now

Bridging the gender gap and supporting local women leaders…

As the centrepiece of alumni engagement efforts, Australia Awards – South Asia & Mongolia will host the Regional Alumni Workshop (RAW) 2024 from 22-24 April in Bhutan.

In support of the fifth priority area under the Australia Awards Global Strategic Framework 2021–24, ‘gender equality and women’s empowerment’, the proposed theme for the 2024 Regional Alumni Workshop is ‘Bridging the gender gap and supporting local women leaders’.

We invite Australia Awards alumni from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka working to achieve gender equality and supporting women’s empowerment to apply.

This is a great opportunity for alumni to present their work, share their experiences and successes with fellow alumni, and build and strengthen relevant professional networks across the region, including through the Women in Leadership Network and Male Allies for Gender Equality Network. This extends the alumni experience beyond national boundaries and offers an enhanced professional development aspect to alumni engagement.

Applications are now open and close on 31 January 2024.

English will be the only language used at the Regional Alumni Workshop and therefore only applicants who are proficient in English will be considered.

Note: Applicants from Nepal and Mongolia who have not yet participated in a Regional Alumni Workshop will be considered more favourably than applicants who have participated in previous Regional Alumni Workshops.
